Honta Beauty introduces a new service: professional hair extensions. At our salon in the Justicia district of central Madrid, we now offer two techniques: microcapsule hair extensions and Hollywood hair extensions. We work exclusively with natural human hair, individually selected for each client according to their colour, texture and desired result.
Hair extensions can increase length and add thickness in areas where natural volume is insufficient. For some clients, they offer an opportunity to change their usual hairstyle. For others, they help restore the desired volume after an unsuccessful haircut, a long period of growing out the hair or changes in hair condition. However, the possibilities of hair extensions depend on the condition of the client’s natural hair, which is why choosing a technique always begins with an in-person consultation.
Microcapsule and Hollywood Hair Extensions
We offer two techniques that differ in how additional strands are attached and distributed throughout the hair.
Microcapsule hair extensions involve attaching individual strands using small keratin capsules. This method allows the stylist to work with different areas of the head, adjust thickness and distribute additional volume according to the haircut. The size of the capsules and the number of strands are selected individually.
Hollywood hair extensions use a technique that is still considerably less common in Spanish salons than traditional capsule-based methods. Additional hair is attached in rows, allowing for significant volume and length. Whether this technique is suitable depends on the density, condition and natural growth pattern of the client’s hair.
Both techniques have their advantages and limitations. The choice depends on the original length, hair structure, desired thickness and how comfortably the result can be maintained in everyday life.
Natural Human Hair and Personalised Selection
The quality of the additional hair plays an important role in the final appearance of the hairstyle. At Honta Beauty, we use only natural human hair and select it individually for every client.
We consider not only the colour but also the texture, density and characteristics of the client’s own hair. For example, when working with fine hair, it is important to calculate the additional volume and the weight placed on the roots. If the goal is to increase thickness, extensions can be applied without significantly changing the existing length.
Our aim is to create a harmonious blend between natural hair and extensions, ensuring that the result looks natural both when the hair is worn loose and in everyday hairstyles.
Why Is a Consultation Necessary Before Hair Extensions?
Hair extensions are a technically demanding procedure and are not suitable for everyone. For this reason, at Honta Beauty, we perform the service only after a mandatory in-person consultation with a specialist.
During the consultation, the stylist assesses the condition of the hair and scalp, its density, strength and growth characteristics. This helps determine whether extensions can be applied safely, which technique is most appropriate and how much additional hair can be used.
In some cases, it may be better to postpone the procedure or avoid it altogether, for example, when the hair is significantly weakened or there are scalp problems. We believe it is important to discuss these limitations in advance.
The consultation also provides an opportunity to determine the desired length, colour and thickness, learn about the duration of the procedure, understand home care requirements and discuss future maintenance appointments. The cost of hair extensions is calculated individually, as it depends on the chosen technique, the quantity and the characteristics of the hair.
